Problem Note 40895: An error occurs when you try to configure SASĀ® Web Report Studio on an IBM z/OS server and middle tier with Platform Process Manager as the scheduler
When you configure SAS Web Report Studio on an IBM z/OS server and middle tier using Platform Computing's Platform Process Manager as the scheduler, an error occurs. This issue occurs when the SAS® Deployment Wizard prompts you for the SAS Web Report Studio dependencies, but no dependencies appear in the drop-down list. When you click the Next button in the SAS Deployment Wizard, the following error message appears:
A dependency on Platform Process Manager could not be satisfied. You must select to configure Platform
Process Manager or have previously configured Platform Process Manager before you can proceed.
To work around this problem, manually configure the Platform Process Manager server definition from any host prior to running the configuration for SAS Web Report Studio.
To manually configure the Platform Process Manager server, perform the following steps in SAS® Management Console:
- Right-click Server Manager.
- Under Scheduling Servers, select Platform Process Manager, and then click Next.
- Enter a name (for example, Platform Process Manager) and then click Next.
- Click Next on the next wizard page. You do not need to enter any information on this page.
- On the next wizard page, for the Authentication Domain, select DefaultAuth.
- Enter your host name in the Host Name field.
- Keep the default port as 1966, if it is not being used, or enter a port number.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
